Part 2. Think Tactics acoording to Vectors
Opponents attack overwhelmingly your backside. You need to acquire the firm techniques.
When senior opponents play against you, they serve various spins such as Curve⋅Cut, Shoot⋅Cut ,Knuckle and etc. from the same form.
Your opponents have the intention of a third attack, so to surprise the opponent, you need to acquire the technique to handle those services.
If you continue the same swing, the opponent comes accustomed, so put Cut etc into and do not make to read your spin. Or use the following techniques to change the tactics to the Drive at the middle of a cut rally .
Some following figures also have a 3D spin added to the ball. It is difficult to draw 3D spins on the 2D figure, and more difficult to image the spin from that figure. So, I want you to understand the spin with the English initials.
Let's look at the order of the ball hitting.
① The opponent has served with ΘCut to your back side.
② You add Fcork⋅Drive (FT) to the spin on the line Ⅰ entered your court.
③ The ball will return as a Hcork⋅Drive (HT) on the Ⅱ to the opponent's court.
Equation is as follows.
Hcork⋅Drive = ΘCut + Hcork⋅Drive
When expressed in English initials,
HT = ΘB + HT
The way of this swing, tilting the racket's head-angle to 45° forward, turning its face up with advancing forward, spining the ball on Hcork⋅Drive.
If the angle is less than 45 °, the ball will lose its spin by the opponent's Cut and be caught in the net.
ΘCurve⋅Cut (ΘRB) is a kind of the service that Japanese or Chinese penholder racket opponents often feed out. Although their services seem to the Cut, it actually contains the Curve. Without your strategy, your return ball becomes easy to attack for the opponent or jumps over the coat. This is a measure against it.
① The opponent has served with ΘCurve⋅Cut to your back side.
② You add Hcork⋅Shoot⋅Drive to the spin on the line Ⅰ entered your court.
③ The ball will return as a Hcork⋅Drive on the Ⅱ to the opponent's court.
Equation is as follows.
Hcork⋅Drive = ΘCurve⋅Cut + Hcork⋅Shoot⋅Drive
When expressed in English initials,
HT = ΘRB + HLT
The way of this swing adds more a Shoot to the Hcoke⋅Drive of section 2.13.1 shown earlier and gives the spin as a Hcork⋅Shoot⋅Drive (HLT). To add the Shoot, lowerring the racket head about 45°, rubbing the ball's left shoulder forward. As a result, it enters the opponent court as a Hcork⋅Drive (HT).
ΘShoot-Cut (ΘLB) is a kind of the service that Japanese or Chinese penholder racket opponents often feed out.
Although their services seem to the Cut, it actually contains the Shoot.
Without your strategy, your return ball becomes easy to attack for the opponent or jumps over the coat. This is a measure against it.
① The opponent has served the ball with ΘShoot⋅Cut to your back side.
② You add Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive to the spin of Ⅰ which entered in your court.
③ The ball will return as a Hcork⋅Drive of Ⅱ to the opponent's court.
Equation is as follows.
Hcork⋅Drive = ΘShoot⋅Cut + Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive
When expressed in English initials,
HT = ΘLB + HRT
The way of this swing adds more Curve to the Hcoke⋅Drive of section 2.13.1 shown earlier and gives the spin as Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive (HLT). To add a Shoot, uppering the racket head about 45° ,rubbing the ball's right shoulder forward. As a result, it enters the opponent court as Hcork⋅Drive (HT).
Against the knuckle service from the opponent, any swing is allowed as long as the contact time can be taken longer. Here, we introduce the swing technique to give a three-axis spin.
① The opponent has served with ΘKnucle to your back side.
② You add Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive (HRT) to the spin on the line Ⅰ entered your court.
③ The ball will return as a Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive(HRT) on the Ⅱ to the opponent's court.
Equation is as follows.
Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive = ΘKnucle + Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive
When expressed in English initials,
HRT = ΘK + HRT
Against the ΘCurve⋅Drive (ΘRT) service from the opponent, when you add a Hcork⋅Shoot⋅Drive (HLT) to it, the spin becomes a Hcork⋅Drive (HT). The ball escapes to the right side after bouncing on the opponent's court bacause the Hcork is added to the ball.
① The opponent has served with ΘCurve⋅Drive to your back side.
② You add Hcork⋅Shoot⋅Drive to the the spin on the line Ⅰ entered your court.
③ The ball will return as a Hcork⋅Drive on the Ⅱ to the opponent's court.
Equation is as follows.
Hcork⋅Drive = ΘCurve⋅Drive + Hcork⋅Shoot⋅Drive
When expressed in English initials,
HT = ΘRT + HLT
In the following tactics, you add Shoot (L) to the ΘCut (ΘB) that the opponent served your backside, and return it as a ShootDrive (LT) to their backside.
① The opponent has served the ball with ΘCut to your back side.
② You add Shoot to the spin on the line Ⅰ entered your court.
③ The ball will return as a Shoot⋅Drive on the Ⅱ to the opponent's court.
Equation is as follows.
Shoot⋅Drive = ΘCut + Shoot
When expressed in English initials,
LT = ΘB + L
