Part 3. Swing Techniques Supporting the Basic Tactics
On this page introduces the swing that are important return techniques
against the long-pips or pips-out in the Section 4. "Tactics for various rubbers".
To let fly the ball a long distance, you need to change the knuckle to the Sidespin, take a longer contact time with the ball and your racket.
As the contact time is longer, the flight speed becomes faster, the distance became longer.
Depending on the length of contact time there are two types of swing like the swing against the long-pips and against the pips-out.
The long-pips requires longer contact time than the pips-out.
When the opponent uses the rubber like a long-pips, single rubber pips-out or anti-spin,
their spin are slow and also short flight distance. you cannot use the reaction force of spin from a opponent.
For make up this weak, you need to extend the flight distance by using Frisbee rotation like the Curve or the Shoot,
and at the same time, to increase the speed by taking longer contact time with the ball.
This is a swing that gives Curve or Shoot by rubbing the ball's side forward while tilting the racket head forward.
When the opponent uses the rubber thier spin is slow but the flight distance is long like Pips-out,
you cannot use the reaction force of spin from a opponent. This is the swing to compensate for it.
For this purpose, you need to extend the distance by Frisbee rotation like the Curve or the Shoot,
and at the same time, to increase the speed by taking longer contact time with the ball.
However, the flight distance of this rubber is longer in comparison with the Long-pips,
To make a short contact time, you will need to swing by the racket head upward.
