Part 6. Tactics against Choppers
Measures described here are not a counterplan to continue rally. Here introduces the tactics to settle the game as soon as possible.
It is a technique to make a game in your circumstances.
In general measures against choppers, most players take the strategy that changes the Cut-rally to the Drive-rally by giving the Hcork or Fcork.
But I do not like this stragety to keep rally because it forces me to suit my correspondence to the opponent.
The spin kind of a chopper is determined by their swing position and rubber type. The position is the place where the chopper was forced to select his swing direction by the dirction to which you had put back. By your chosen dirction, he have to inevitably decide the swing either the forehand or backhand or the middle position. And the ball rubbing point and the spin direction will be decided.
In addition, the spin speed is determined by the type of rubber.
Here, we will think about a reasonable attack that corresponds to the level and types of the spin.
The basic tactics against the chopper,
it is necessary to assemble from the two tactics with Part 2 "Basic Tactics by Spin Composition",
and Part 4 "Tactics against Various Rubbers".
So first, let us organize the spin which is fed out from the rubbers, and the rubber combinations of choppers.
The combination of chopper's rubber are various.
Inverted and Inverted
Inverted and Pips-out
Inverted and Long-pips
Pips-our and Long-pips
Since the characteristics of the flying and spin of Anti rubbers are like the Long-pips ones, here considers Anti and Long-pips is the same.
Although Cut swing form of Choppers is the same their spin depend on the type of rubber. It is necessary for you to understand that they cannot supply the spins except following. You do not be fooled by the swing form of choppers.
Here, the opponent's middle Cut refers to the spin that chops the bottom side of ball along court side and sent to your court center.
This swing is a typical swing of choppers.
In the case of Inverted rubber, it is the ΘCut.
In the case of Pips-out rubber, it is the ΘCut like nearly Knuckle.
In the case of Long-pips rubber, it is the ΘKnuckle.
Here, the opponent's forehand Cut refers to the spin that chops the left side of ball with your viewpoint and sent to your right court.
In the case of Inverted rubber, it is the ΘCurve-Cut.
In the case of Pips-out rubber, it is the ΘCurve-Cut like nearly Knuckle.
In the case of Long-pips rubber, it is the ΘKnuckle.
But there are some players who can make the spin of middle Cut from the forehand Cut, so at the time you need to respond with that middle Cut.
Here, the opponent's backhand Cut refers to the spin that chops the right side of ball with your viewpoint and sent to your left court.
In the case of Inverted rubber, it is the ΘShoot-Cut.
In the case of Pips-out rubber, it is the ΘShoot-Cut like nearly Knuckle.
In the case of Long-pips rubber, it is the ΘKnuckle.
But there are some players who can make the spin of middle Cut from the backhand Cut, so at the time you need to respond with that middle Cut.
