Part 2. Think Tactics acoording to Vectors
This section explains the ways to send back with changing the Cut to a Drive. Using it, you can use as a flick or against a Cut service, and also use for chopper's Cut.
It's a universal counterplan against Cut spin.
In this method, the Hcork/Fcork or Curve/Shoot adds near the pole where the spin speed of Drive is slow.
You can make a Cut return by Drive giving the front-back axial direction of Fcork and Hcork near the pole where the spin speed of Drive is slow. As for the spin in the axial direction to be added, a weak Fcork is applied to the fore side and a weak Hcork is applied to the back side.
Needless to say, if the axial spin is weak, it will return with a spin close to that of the Drive, and if it is strongly applied, the spin will strongly reflect the axial spin.
Let's look at the order of the ball hitting.
① The opponent has made a service by ΘCut (ΘB) to your racket foreside.
② You add weak Fcork (F) to the spin on the trajectory-1 entered your coat.
③ The ball will be returned as a Drive(T) on the trajectory-2 To the opponent's coat.
Equation is as follows.
Drive = ΘCut + weak Fcork
ΘCut = Drive. So that,
Drive = Drive + weak Fcork
When expressed in English initials,
T = ΘB + weak F
When you add Fcork with normal strength,
Fcorkk⋅Drive = ΘCut + Fcork
When expressed in English initials,
FT = ΘB + F
Swing example. Refer to 3.6. Make a Drive Return against Cut
① The opponent has made a service by ΘCut (ΘB) to your racket backside.
② You add weak Hcork (H) to the spin on the trajectory-1 entered your coat.
③ The ball will be returned as a Drive(T) on the trajectory-2 To the opponent's coat.
Equation is as follows.
Drive = ΘCut + weak Hcork
ΘCut = Drive. So that,
Drive = Drive + weak Hcork
When expressed in English initials,
T = ΘB + weak H
When you add Hcork with normally strength,
Hcork⋅Drive = ΘCut + Hcork
When expressed in English initials,
HT = ΘB + H
Swing example. Refer to 3.6. Make a Drive Return against Cut
You can make a Cut return by Drive giving the side spin of Curve and Shoot near the pole where the spin speed of Drive is slow. As for the side spin to be added, a weak Curve is applied to the fore side and a weak Shoot is applied to the back side.
Needless to say, if the side spin is weak, it will return with a spin close to that of the Drive, and if it is strongly applied, the spin will strongly reflect the side spin.
Drive = ΘCut + weak Curve
ΘCut = Drive. So that,
Drive = Drive + weak Curve
When expressed in English initials,
T = ΘB + weak R
When you add Fcork with normal strength,
Curve⋅Drive = ΘCut + Curve
When expressed in English initials,
RT = ΘB + R
① The opponent has made a service by ΘCut (ΘB) to your racket backside.
② You add weak Shoot(L) to the spin on the trajectory-1 entered your coat.
③ The ball will be returned as a Drive(T) on the trajectory-2 To the opponent's coat.
Equation is as follows.
Drive = ΘCut + weak Shoot
ΘCut = Drive. So that,
Drive = Drive + weak Shoot
When expressed in English initials,
T = ΘB + weak L
When you add Hcork with normally strength,
Shoot⋅Drive = ΘCut + Shoot
When expressed in English initials,
LT = ΘB + L
Thus, the following rule holds.
<The Law of Drive Return against Cut>
To return the Cut from the opponent by Drive, add Hcork or Fcork axial spin, Curve or Shoot lateral spin, Hcork⋅Curve or Fcork⋅Shoot weakly near the pole where the spin speed is slow.
If you want more impact, try the following: This figure explains how to handle the ball that came to your fore side. The same rotation needs to be added even when coming to the back side.
① The opponent has made a service by ΘCut(ΘB) to your racket backside.
② You add Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive (HRT) to the spin on the trajectory-1 entered your coat.
③ The ball will be returned as a Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive (HRT) on the trajectory-2 to the opponent's coat.
Equation is as follows.
Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive = ΘCut + Hcork⋅Curve⋅Drive
When expressed in English initials,
HRT = ΘB + HRT
